Which Direction Is Speaking To You?

A 16-point self-assessment of your home and workspace

Thirty years, thousands of buildings — one repeated discovery

In thirty years I have walked through thousands of spaces — one-room rentals, family homes, corporate floors, factories. And almost every one of them told me something at the doorway. Some homes look complete but feel tired. Some offices carry brilliant people whose best work never quite lands. Some businesses earn well and still cannot hold what they earn.

Most people assume the problem is luck, or effort, or someone’s evil eye. Very often it is simply direction. And that is the best news in this document — because a problem of direction has a solution, and most of those solutions require no demolition at all.

Here is the principle this book is built on: your space is divided into sixteen zones, and each zone governs a specific area of your life — money, health, clarity, reputation, relationships, sleep, opportunity. When a zone is disturbed, the corresponding part of your life starts to complain. Learn to hear which part is complaining, and you have found the zone that needs attention.

How to use this self-assessment

Read each of the sixteen statements slowly. Tick every one that feels like your life right now — not what you wish were true, but what is. More than one may apply; the one that stings the most is where you begin. At the end you will find what your score means, and what to do next.

Do not rush this. Walk through your home or office as you read, the way you would walk with an old friend who has something to tell you.

The sixteen statements — which one is yours?

Your result — what your home just told you

Counting your ticks is not arithmetic. It is the first time you have listened to your own building in an organised way.

0of 16

  • 0–3 statementsYour space is broadly supporting you. Maintain it — an annual review is enough.
  • 4–8 statementsTwo or three zones are asking for attention. This is the ideal stage to act, because almost every correction at this level is small, inexpensive and requires no demolition.
  • 9 or moreYour space has been speaking for a long time — in the language of money, health, relationships or sleep. A structured assessment will pay for itself many times over. And remember: the fault has been found in the building, not in you.

Notice which statement stung the most as you read it. That is not a coincidence — that is the zone to begin with.

If you would rather not do it alone

Thirty years of reading buildings has taught me one thing: the sooner a space is read, the cheaper the correction. If several statements above described your life, begin here.

  • A personal consultation, with the horoscope read alongside the plan — online or in person.
  • A home or office Vastu assessment, worked on your actual floor plan.

Please note

This self-assessment is offered for general Vastu awareness. Every building and every horoscope is different — for your specific situation, a personal consultation remains the appropriate path. Nothing here guarantees an outcome.
