Home Vastu

Not sample rooms or slogans — your actual plan, overlaid with the sixteen directions and measured from the Brahmasthan at its centre. Every zone is checked against what it governs before a single correction is suggested.

In short: An on-site visit or a remote assessment from your plan, going through the property room by room, followed by a written set of corrections in priority order, each marked by what it costs.

The work

What this covers

The sixteen-direction grid, aligned to true north

Directions and measurements taken properly rather than estimated from a phone held at the door. The Brahmasthan and the elemental zones are marked on your own plan.

Room by room, with you

We walk it together so you understand what each zone governs and why a particular placement matters. If I cannot explain why, I should not be recommending it.

Corrections in priority order

Marked by cost band — what costs nothing, what costs a little, and what, rarely, needs real work. Most of it is placement, use and layout rather than construction.

No demolition in the ordinary case

Where something structural genuinely matters, it is identified as such, costed separately, and it remains your decision.

What to bring

  • A floor plan if you have one — architect drawing, builder plan, or a hand sketch
  • Or a slow video walk-through of each room, taken standing still in each doorway
  • Which direction the main door faces (any phone compass will do)
  • When the property was built, and anything structural changed since

What you get

  • A room-by-room assessment against the sixteen zones
  • A written set of corrections in priority order, with cost bands
  • A marked-up plan you can hand to a contractor or an architect
  • A clear separation between what is worth doing now and what can wait

Said plainly

What this cannot do

A Vastu assessment describes what a space is doing and what can be changed about it. It does not guarantee an outcome in your life, your health or your business, and I will not claim it does. Some situations fall outside what this work can address, and when that is the case I say so rather than finding something to correct.

Before you ask

Common questions

Will you tell me to break walls?

Very rarely. The great majority of recommendations are placement, use and layout. Where something structural genuinely matters it is identified and costed separately, and it stays your decision.

Is my south-facing house a problem?

The fear around it is considerably overstated. What matters far more is where the door sits within the direction, and what the interior zones are being used for.

I rent. Is there any point?

Yes, and it is an underserved question. A good deal of what I recommend is placement and use, which a tenant can change. Structural items simply come off the list.

Can this be done without a site visit?

A remote assessment from a good plan and a careful video walk-through is workable and I do it often, particularly for clients outside Delhi. A visit lets me take the directions and measurements myself, which is more reliable.
